This deal just dosen't make sense to me.

 

I do like the D-Rays getting Wheeler, depending on how long they would control his baseball rights.

 

I don't like the deal from Houstons perspective. Wigginton is a guy that IMO is basically a platoon player. Houston has Loretta / Lamb / Ensberg, someone is going to have to get moved for this to make any sense. Even then I would think that Houston would have been better served to get the best package of prospects that you could.

Wigginton will be better then the 3 sacker the Astros had. I fully expect them to get rid of Ensberg soon! I also don't get the trade.

Ensberg has been DFA'd

 

I had forgotten that Ensberg had over 100 walks last year, bringing his OPS up to .858 last year, even with the low batting average.

I would hope the brewers would at leat kick the tires on him. I would not mind having him on the bench or in triple a. But i am assuming he does not have any options left.

I would like him as a bench bat. Look at what he does to LHP's for his career. Too bad he can't play the OF. He probably could play first, though, you would think.

If I am Cleveland or Detroit, I go after Ensberg hard....I think he would work well in an AL situation especially.
