Weird Al in Milwaukee

I'm probably as big a Weird Al fan as there is (well maybe not THAT big of a fan) but I've never seen him in concert. Would really like to some day.

I saw him in high school, it was pretty entertaining. The best part is my friend and I were waiting for my Mom to pick us up outside the club afterwards when we saw Weird Al's limo come out from behind the club, swing by the strip club next door where a few strippers were lingering by the door, pull over for a minute as the back window rolls down, and then two of them jump into the limo. Go Weird Al Go

There was no one better when I was in elementary and middle school.

When I was 11, Weird Al was supposed to play at the Waukesha County Fair. Unfortunately, massive thunderstorms hit and due to safety concerns, he could not perform. However, he invited everyone to come back to his trailer for autographs and for the rest of the night, everyone got a chance to meet Weird Al one on one. I haven't purchased an album of his in ages, but I will always think of how cool that was for him to do for his fans. Also, UHF is incredible.

I went to see him in Wausau last month. I grew up with Al's music, so I really enjoyed myself. (I was actually surprised how many of the lyrics I still remembered.) At the same time, I went with some people who didn't know his music at all, and they even liked it.

This reminds me; I still need to buy a copy of 'Straight outta Lynwood.'

I've seen him twice in concert. Once at the Riverside and once at Summerfest (when monsoons cancelled everything else, but we were under the Hoan Bridge)

I can't see him this time, but my wife is going. My 3 year old is a huge Weird Al fan. He loves the Pentium song and the Yoda chant. But I don't think I'd take him to a Weird Al concert until he's a little odler.

Al does do all of his costume changes, but in between they show parody interviews of him with celebrities like Celine Dion, Justin Timberlake, Snoop Dog, Kevin Federline, Jessica Simpson and such as well as clips of him doing other things. This may even be the best part of the show. The whole takes about two hours and it is incredible!

Which brings up a good point -- if you're going to a venue with general admission, or are in the process of buying tickets, be aware that sitting severely over to either side of the stage may impair your view of the video.

(...and, for some reason, I now have "Weasel Stomping Day" in my head. Actually, I know why: Curse you Robot Chicken!)
