Last Minute flights to Vegas

PaulRigdon

I'd like to tap into the vast knowledge of the brewer fan nation...

A group of my friends are going to vegas the weekend of Oct 5-8th. With the possibility of home playoff games that weekend at the Keg, I am holding off to book my flight. Does anyone know of a way of getting a relatively normal flight price out to vegas with like a week or less notice? I am not really sure how the whole airline tix industry works. I cant get a flight now for $300 including tax direct on midwest.

Am I better off booking it now and if we do make the playoffs, paying the fees to rebook it or just hold off until I know for sure if we are in or out?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

$323 with tax, America West MKE-PHX-LAS

If ya dont mind the drive down to Chicago, $304 with tax on Southwest

Or if Green Bay is an option, $308 direct on Allegiant

Sounds like the deal he already mentioned on Midwest is better than any of these.

I know at one point someone told me about some really good last minute air fare site, but I can't remember it now. I'll see if I can track it down.

i remember a lot of the booking sites have last-minute weekend specials, and a ton of them are to Vegas.

although what i've learned is that at the least, you might want to book your hotel room as early as possible, at least if you can get your money back. Vegas rooms double in price if you book within the two-week window.

Rockford has midnight flights for $99 one way. You can buy both ways right there.

Also, for about $50 bucks, I thought you could buy insurance in case you had to cancel a flight. I may be wrong there.

Just went out there for the Badger game. One of my friends had to cancel. They gave him a $200 voucher towards a flight anywhere in the lower 48. If your flight costs under $300, maybe that's your best option.
