He did some good things for the Phillies but made some bad moves along with it. If he learned from those mistakes he should do alright. It seemed like he knew how to build from the ground up but over estimated how good some of his guys were along the way. Either way it appears the Astros are in need of a total rebuild.

If pitching, speed, and defense are what they're after, then Houston is indeed going the "rebuild" route. They'll be helped some by Drayton's wallet, which he has been willing to pull out on many notable ocassions, but the franchise desperately needs to grow (draft) more top notch players. Wade has had his detractors, but he's a pretty smart baseball man and has close connections to a lot of the Houston brass, notably Tal Smith. We'll see.
