Bucks match Bell offer sheet

dpapo
Football is WAY more physically demanding than baseball. I don't think there's anything in baseball that requires as much as trying to catch a ball when a 200 lb man is hitting you or trying to push a 325 lb ball of muscle across a line. By the end of a football game it's a guarantee you're exhausted, while a baseball player may have only had to sprint a total of 200 yards.

"compare them to a sport that is a little more demanding, such as NFL, or NHL. "

The NFL is more demanding? Are you serious? Most plays run very few seconds then there is a long pause and you only play one side of the ball? Awful comparison yourself. The NHL is more demanding but very few NHL players are athletic. I think you just don't like the NBA or maybe do not understand what athleticism is.

Yeah I hate the NBA, but I also hate soccer, and I think soccer players are great athletes. It doesn't matter if I hate the NBA, that's not playing into my opinion.

That must be it.... I must be some donkey that doesn't know what athleticism is..... you got me way to go.

I thought Bogut supposedly hated Milwaukee? Not sure where that rumor started.

"I have a house, nice property," Bogut said. "I can actually go outside and have a coffee for once, instead of sitting on a balcony 26 floors up (in the city). I'm really happy in Milwaukee. The winters are cold but it's really peaceful and I like it."

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

  • 4 weeks later...
apparently he has been back at the whine game. Ranting against restricted free agency and also still moaning how he doesn't know if he can give it all here. This guy may be one of the biggest cry babies in sports, and thats saying alot. I think this is going to get more ugly. i was hoping that since he got paid he would shut up and play ball, guess that wasn't an option.

I'm so glad that the Bucks keep bringing in guys that love Milwaukee and want to play hard for us.
This was my exact sarcastic thought after reading about this. This could be one of the most talented losing teams in a long time.

I am not that impressed with somebody running the floor jumping in the air and slam dunking the ball, sorry.
The degree to which you are impressed is not a measurement of athletic ability.

If I had Braun's pee in my fridge I'd tell everybody.

Well, if Bell struggles this year, you can put it on the bad GM the Bucks have, Larry Harris.

Desmond Mason loved/s Larry Harris!

Bell is just disappointing. He got what he wanted in the end. Last year he was a big community guy in Milwaukee and always talked about how the Bucks gave him a chance and he'd love to stay here. He didn't like the offer we gave him, but that is what restricted free agency is all about. Why overspend on someone you control the rights of? Miami gave him more money and we matched. This happens a lot in the NFL, but usually the player doesn't trash the team for the offer. Poor Charlie Bell. He ended up with more guaranteed money at the end of the day in a city he used to love. Must be rough.

I never would have expected Bell to turn into such a drama queen. If he wanted so badly to choose where he played,he could have simply signed the one year QO and been an unrestricted free agent next season.Instead he chose to jump in the restricted free agent area of the CBA that the players agreed to.Now he decides to stomp his feet and pout like a baby because the Bucks matched the offer, even though he knew full well that this could end up happening.

Bell wanted to treat his restricted free agency like he was an unrestricted free agent and is now throwing a hissy fit because the Bucks treated him like the restricted free agent that he actually was.

Way to be original. If you don't like the NBA there are plenty of threads to discuss other sports.
sorry if i offended you, i just figured i should say something relative to the original topic.

Again, to stay in topic...

I don't blame Charlie for being upset, the Heat have a great team and will be making a deep run into the post season, whereas the bucks more than likely won't be.
