2007 Fan Fest, 9-15 ... Brewers Win!

I didn't take many pictures, but here they are:

The balloons that marked our tailgate location. The weather was as gorgeous as the outdoor shots suggest.

Our seats were *this* close to the RF fair pole. We hoped for a dinger to carom off the pole ("It hit the pole!") and into a bf.netter's hands, but alas.

C-IT-GO, after Prince's 46th but before JJ's 25th.

My understanding is that someone in the concourse asked Jamie if she could "borrow" the hat for a moment. He consented (which would make it hard to prove said hat was stolen, as such), and then it was gone.

If my understanding is incorrect, I bet we'll hear about it here soon enough.

I'm jealous of your guys' seats, terrace box is always pretty nice. I sat in the left field bleachers for the first time in years yesterday, and I remember why I stopped. First, there was a group of a few guys and a few girls at the top of our section doing a "let's go (insert first name here)" chant for every batter. Then, near the 6th inning, though the chanting had stopped, the sloppiness increased, starting with a beer being sprayed over almost our entire section. Needless to say, no one was happy, and that person, I believe, got tossed.

Then, I get up to go to the bathroom for the first time all game right as the 7th inning STRETCH was starting, and although I was in the exact middle of our row, the gentleman near the end had the nerve to tell me the other way was shorter and give me crap.

The highlight of the night beside the Prince homer and the win was when some guy a few rows back decided to counter that group of people chanting "let's go (insert name)" almost constantly for the first two innings, by yelling out names of soup's rather than "let's go Soup." My personal favorite was when a 'mulligatawny' chant almost broke out.

Aside from that other highlights were people getting busted in the woods near the river by the bus/RV parking lot while they were relieving themselves.

All said, it was an enjoyable game.

Did imaji show up to tell you how prejudice bf.net is?

Was at the game, but had already arranged a separate tailgating party with some close friends. I would love to see if I can get in on this next year if it happens again. Our seats were way down the third base line in the terrace box. Had a great time, especially seeing Prince's homer and curtain call.

seeing Prince's homer

From our vantage point toward the front of 405, it was remarkably easy (and fun) to peer over the railing and watch #46 sail into the picnic area. The corner spot also provided a nice comprehensive vantage point for tracking the arc of JJ's 8th inning blast.

*sob*

Yeah, I went to get a beer and the person behind me asked if she could borrow the hat to show her kids and maybe a picture with them wearing it. I let her borrow it, she booked.

I got the beer though.

That'll teach me to be a nice guy.

Nice pictures Laura and Nate!

yea, but it was a sting operation. Now get back against the wall!

Seriously, though, sorry to hear about that horrible piece of humanity. http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/indifferent.gif I really can't understand why anyone would stoop to just lying and theft. Aside from booze. But then again, I'm not a piece of crap. I honestly hope you have or can get another, brewerjamie.
