Ya gotta have heaaaaart

SeriesFinale
Regardless of whether the Brew Crew makes the playoffs this year, I really love the way they have hung tough and responded to adversity the last few weeks. I really thought they were cooked physically and mentally at the end of August. For such a young team, that is a really satisfying trait to see take hold.

I have to admit...I am just giddy again about this team.

I have tickets to the last game of the season and am so excited. I really hope our boys can find away to get into the playoffs and extend baseball in Milwaukee into October. But even if they fall short, I look forward to giving a nice ovation thanking our boys for a great season.

It's been a long time since I cared about the Brewers on September 18th. Win or Lose - it has been a helluva fun season.

Hang tough or not they gave up a huge lead. If they don't make the playoffs I will be pissed. Just like I have been pissed for 25 years. The goal is the World Series and every year they don't make it sucks. No moral victories. No "get 'em next year". I will worry about that next year. If they don't make the playoffs it is a huge disappointment.

Wow you must just be miserable all the time if this is your attitude when watching sports.

Ask yourself, at the start of the season, if you would know that with 2 weeks left the Crew would be in a virtual tie for first with the Cubs coming down to the last few games. Tell me you wouldn't have been giddy about it? I know I would be, I am pumped now, this team pisses me off and makes me happy and then ticks me off again all in the same game. It's part of being a fan. Enjoy the rollercoaster Crew fans, it's just fun to have something that we haven't had in a LONG time!!

well, where's that official prediction thread from April 2nd (or whatever)? Let's see what most of us said!

I think that 24-10 start changed alot of views and opinions about the team. It is disappointing they blew the big lead? Sure. But look at other teams around the league that have blown/are blowing leads. Yeah, Mets, I'm looking right at you! Hey, Red Sox, you had a 14 game lead and it's down to 2 1/2!

In fact I am am giddy at their position as of right now and there has been a lot of great times. Watching sports is fun. What's not fun is watching a team that sucks every year. Funny i am the only one that feels that way. And don't get me started on lawns and kids:)

As one who has loved the Brewers since childhood, and wanting to be like Yount and Molitor (and a card carrying member of the Rob Deer fan club in '87), this has been a great ride! The best part is, no matter what happens this year, and I am SOOOO pulling for the playoffs, there is going to be some great, exciting baseball played here for the next 5-7 years, with the talent the team has now coupled with the up and coming talent. Not to mention Melvin's deals. I can't wait to see what happens not only over the next 2 weeks, but the next few years!

At this point I'd rather have head than heart (no pun intended but if you wish by all means...) And my head tells me that the Crew will go on the road and screw up their chances, because, well, they really don't have the ability to act in another manner.

And I've I said many times (my way of hitting myself repeatedly with a mallet) this is easily my worst season as a Brewer fan. Clearly they are the best team in the division, and clearly they enjoy shooting themselves in the foot. I'd rmuch rather have them mired down Pittsburgh way. It's a lot easier on the prilosec-ridden stomach.
