Well, crewcrazy, I thought J.J. might have been good for 20. I can see where you're coming from, though, given that during J.J.'s rookie season, you went until September without actually seeing a Hardy homer. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I remember that...it was like a tree falling in the forest. I wasn't sure if it actually happened if I didn't see it happen. Those were the days when the MLB.com board actually had more Brewer discussion than troll discussion.

Only 7 more wins until 82. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Tonight's win definitely feels good after last night's general yuckiness (for lack of a better word). Get the series tomorrow and hope the Cards don't lie down.

Yost has been criticized for his handling of the pitching staff, but I think he did a very good job tonight. Brought guys in in the right situations, got guys out of there before things got out of control.

you mean managed like a MLB manager? His pen moves were good, but letting jenkins bat, and calling a double steal? wow, who does that

Agreed. He got Turnbow out in time, and bringing in Cordero was the right move. King against Dunn was also good. And we're not just saying this because these moves all worked! It's just the opposite. The moves were more likely to work because they were more logically sound moves.

I just wish that it didn't take soooo long for some of these things to get ironed out, but a win is a win, and I'll take it. Like I said, better late than never.

Got back early...a member of the group wasn't doing so hot...

Anyways, solid win, decent moves by Yost, for those who want him to get credit I'll do it. Cubs hopefully lose tonight, grab one tomorrow and hopefully the Cubs can find a way to lose tomorrow and we got ourselves a tie with about two weeks left. I'm jacked.

Pretty good atmosphere at MP tonight...wish more people would have got noisy on more two strike pitches, but you can't have everything. Glad to see enough people knew what was up with Prince to get him the curtain call.

I actually did not follow the game. I looked at general flow, including pitching moves and who gave up the runs. Thus, I can't comment on the decisions on offense.

Correct. The Linkebrink move didn't work out at the time, but it was the right move since you knew you were going to use King for Dunn. Amazingly, we use our good pitchers and not our September call ups and we shut down the opposition for the win. Now let's take the series.

I have question about yesterdays game. When Braun and Hart put on the double steal, Braun was charged with a caught stealing and Corey wasn't given a steal.

On the Red's post game they credited Corey's line with his 23rd steal, but MLB did not count it.

What is the rule and should Corey have been given the stolen base.
