Robin19 released [reply 251: New contract - a must read]

RightFieldCoder

Hope you break Cal Ripken's iron man streak, sgtcluels...

...I have been offered a spring training invite. I've been on the retired/reserved list a long time. Not sure I can drive the ball with power anymore, but I know I can defend my position.

[/blue]Can't believe the positive reaction here. Principessa has been outperforming her peripherals for the past few years and she is bound to regress.[blue/]

(congratulations)

I think you mean ewizabeff, and you scared TooLiveBrew. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Milwaukee - After putting up monster numbers in his most recent comeback attempt, ewizabeff and SgtClueLs are rumored to have agreed to terms on a long term deal. A press announcement has been scheduled on November 20th that sources say will confirm the deal.

In a busy off season for brewerfan players, BruCruStu has just returned from a trip to his organization's spring training facility and museum. After an impressive partial season splitting time at A and AA, BCS was invited by his gm to tour grounds and meet the organizations founders! This meeting exceeded all expectations. A full AAA season is expected and no players are blocking him at this position. Having long since lost prospect status, the future in the game was looking very bleak for a man who admittedly has little time to dedicate to playing. This gm understands and has found new methods to bring out BCS' talents. After almost quiting on his dreams BCS is now holding out very high hopes for rule 5 protection and a future call up to the big club. He recently texted peter king the following "OMG!!!!!!!!!!" Things are definitely looking up for this WI native.

The Cherries Set to Relocate

Brew City - The surprise anouncement from Robin19 and JaDerHeyski has been finalized. The paperwork to move the franchise to a new venue has been signed. They will be moving this Saturday, April 23rd.

The team has had their current facility on the market since August. There were few rumors of interested parties to buy the place. Although major renovations have been done (new glass panels were installed in 2005 and a new roof was put into place in 2006), the facility had become dilapidated for the team. "I remember when my father first brought me here when I was in 2nd grade," said longtime resident Robin19. "When I had the chance to buy the place [in 2003] and stay in the area, I jumped at it. Now, its just been too much to handle. The debt structure doesn't match the income this place can bring."

JaDerHeyski has been in charge of the facility since the 2007/2008 offseason. That year she signed free agent Robin19, and soon after moved the team to his building. "It's just to big to maintain. It isn't about to fall apart, but there is only so much we can do to reverse the aging process". Both owners felt it would be best for the team to have a smaller park.

A buyer finally emerged several weeks ago. The Blue Dragons seemed very interested in occupying the park immediately. Negotiations were apparently intense. After three rounds of negotiations, things seemed to fall apart. The Cherries walked away from the table, with Robin19 publicly saying, "the deal is off. We're waiting for new purchasers." Several days later the Blue Dragons came with another offer. The deal was then signed to take effect April 28th.

Many fans wondered where the team would relocate. JaDerHeyski went through an exhaustive search, but no announcements came. A deal appeared close this last Monday, but new tenants were found before team officials could sign the paperwork. The team felt betrayed and appeared to give up its search. Rumor circulated that JaDerHeyski made plans to move the franchise to an affiliate's home. Officials were meeting to discuss scheduling issues.

Tuesday night came the surprise announcement. They had gotten information about Imperial City offering it's park for use. Robin19 and JaDerHeyski signed onto the deal within 30 minutes. Today was when financial checks occurred. Robin19 is on his way to Imperial City to sign the deal tonight.

The team will have to include some cash in the sale of their current residence. They will also rent their new facility. This has surprised many followers of the team. Robin19 told reporters "our payments will be about half in the new park [than what they are now]. We support our fans and pledge to continue to be engaged despite the hour drive difference."

See? THIS is what Twitter should be like. If reading people's tweets were like this, it'd be much more enjoyable.

Brucrustu signs a major league contract

Over the past weekend, brucrustu totally surprised his gm by asking for a major league deal. BCS had kept his intent to request this deal extremely secret and the gm had no idea what was coming.

Before going to the gm with his request for a lifetime contract, BCS went to the organization's founders to make sure they would approve such a deal. After they happily approved BCS approached his GM. He dropped to one knee and offered a gift to symbolize his commitment to the organization. The gm was extremely happy to accept his offer. So happy, in fact, that the gm needed several hours to compose herself. BCS was hoping for this type of reaction and made his offer in the longtime home base of the organization's founders so that they were able to share in the gm's euphoria.

The parties have not yet agreed on a date for his first big league call up, but they have agreed that once called up the contract will keep him in the organization for life. Details are expected to take shape over the next few months.

When reached for comment the 33 year old minor league journeyman turned expected big league superstar said "I am the happiest I've been in my life and extremely excited to begin this new chapter in my life."

I forgot about this thread. I also signed a contract to join the big club, as soon as all the press conference details can be worked out, back in October.

New year, new contracts. After completing a nearly three year deal, jjgott offered a lifelong contract to his GM and it was immediately accepted. Knowing I'll be a member of this team for the rest of my career was a big reason for getting this new deal done.

After 10 years with the big club I have been sent to the minors. Hoping the GM will call me back up soon. Being released outright wouldn't be any fun. In the meantime I am singing back up vocal's in Jason Kendall's hardcore band and looking into getting lasik.
