Yes, there's Cubs - Astros at 8:00 Central, but also:

With the big league Brewers idle Thursday night, I'm reminding you that you can watch the Huntsville Stars in the Southern League playoffs tonight.

See Thursday' Link Report for details --

At least Trachsel is going for the Cubs tonight. He has been pretty horrible since the acquisition.

He is going on 3 days rest, too.

Well the Cardinals are definitely due for some wins now, which is a good thing. I'm pretty sure the "law of averages" gods are seeing this and realize that the Cards are due for a 3/4 series or at least 2/4. If not either of those two then I'm pretty sure by the time the Cards come to town in a week and a half they'll be emotionally out of it.

Soriano leadoff homer, followed by two singles, followed by an Aramis Ramirez HR to make it 4-0. Cubs bat around in the first inning, but at least they didn't score more than 4. I have the feeling that this game is going to be like 9-8 before it's said and done.

Edit: Hunter Pence leads off with a double, and Cecil Cooper calls for Biggio to bunt him over to third in the bottom of the first...what the hell? Why waste an out trying to get Pence (who runs well) over to third? Isn't it a little early to be playing for one run?

I thought the same thing when I saw the bunt.
