MLBTV blackout question...

It's based on your location (you can type in the zip code at MLB TV to see if this applies) or it could possibly a national black out. If these aren't true, then call them. I've had problems getting Brewers games in Nashville and they've been able to fix it pretty quick.

I believe you're always going to be blacked out in your own team's market. That "protects" local telecasts even if there isn't a local telecast. You should be able to see the game on a delayed basis once it's over.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

I would contact MLBTV. Like I mentioned, they're pretty quick. I had IP issues when I moved down to Tennessee, but I believe they are able to "unblock" games if you can call from a land line to prove your actual address. They do this because based on your IP address they usually can tell where you are living. There are sometimes problems with many main ISPs that give out "dummy" IP addresses and MLBTV cannot determine where you are logging in from (once again a phone call clears this up).

Make sure to type in the zip code on their page to double check whether or not you should be blacked out. For some reason, the Reds are close enough to me that I can't get any Reds games (stinks for this weekend). Hope this helps.

JJHardy7, the Nashville area is in Reds home territory. You're also likely to find that the Braves are blacked out. Check out this map.

When things work as intended, the Brewers would be blacked out in all of Wisconsin and Iowa, along with parts of Illinois, Michigan, and Minnesota.

So MLB TV blacksout all games that are televised *FROM* the Milwaukee market *IN* the Milwaukee market (FSN)? Or is it just when the Brewers are on ESPN or Fox?

This would be a perfect way for me to get rid of cable since the only thing I really watch on cable is the Brewers.
