Brian, it's funny you posted that because one of the songs running through my head has been a cover of that by Placebo. Yes, that Placebo. Heard it on BBC Radio One on Sirius earlier this week (channel 11, but IIRC you went with XM).

 

Other ones I highly recommend:

- The Editors - "An End Has a Start" (also heard on BBC Radio One)

- Dogzilla - "Frozen"

- Matt Darey - "Beautiful Day" (one of my favorite tracks in years)

- Filo & Peri - "Anthem"

The Placebo cover is pretty good. I like the fact that it's not some carbon-copy clone of the original... The video's also pretty cool (check out youtube). They had fans submit clips of themselves singing the song to make the video, and I think it turned out really well.
