Is Adam Dunn on our radar for next year?

I disagree 100%. Prince is going to be the guy that puts and keeps Milwaukee on the baseball map. Mark and the ownership group know this. At this point, you let the money go with guys like Bill Hall and Rickie Weeks. I see Prince in the Brewer Blue for some time to come.

Boras guys go where the biggest offer is. There's no chance he'll be a Brewer past 27 or 28. I'm pretty sure Boras isn't going to be cool with Prince giving away his arby or first couple of FA years, either.

Maybe if he gets another agent or has a magic reconciliation with Cecil. Otherwise, Boras clients do not sign extensions and sell out arby years. Thus, they always go to free agency.

I see Fielder and Hardy getting 4 year deals this offseason. Maybe Hart, but I doubt it.
First off - this thread has gotten WAY off topic.

But I will join in anyways. I don't see any reason they will try to extend Hardy this year yet - he just had a career year. I doubt he will hit around 25 HR next year. I doubt he will be an all star next year. And this has been his only full season healthy so far. Just seems like we might as well let him play out awhile longer until we reward him with a big contract.

As for Dunn - Cincy will pick up his option. But they can trade him then can't they? I could very well see them picking up the option only to trade him. He would be decent as a one year solution, but I would never sign him long term. WAY to much money for a guy with his skills.

Lastly, regarding the fact that adding him will give us another butcher defensively on the left side - reports are Laporta is going to be pretty bad as well.

But boy will our team him home runs!

Dunn is one of the worst LF's I've ever seen, he makes Burrell look like Jenkins. There's such a thing as being limited, like Bonds is at this stage, and then there's Dunn. He probably gives up a hit every other game and a base or two as well. He allowed runners on 2B and 1B to tag on a fly ball 50 feet from the warning track today. i love his offense, but he's terrible in LF.
