Six degrees of Kevin Bacon

jaybird2001wi

I was just having fun with baseball-reference's oracle of six degrees of ballplayers and it was formulated by the same people who made the Kevin Bacon degrees.

I am on the Bacon Number web site and have been trying to stump it. They even found that Bernie Mac has a Bacon number of 2. Anyone got any obscure celebs that could stump the computer?

The Oracle says: pete rose has a Kevin Bacon number of 2.

Pete Rose was in "Howard Stern Radio Show, The" (1998) {(2000-02-05)} with William Shatner

William Shatner was in 58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, The (2006) (TV) with Kevin Bacon

Najeh Davenport has a Bacon number of 3. Najeh Davenport was in Full Clip (2004) with Bubba Smith (I)

Bubba Smith (I) was in Police Academy (1984) with Michael J. Reynolds

Michael J. Reynolds was in Where the Truth Lies (2005) with Kevin Bacon

Thats the highest number I can get. Then entire cast of Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia somehow has a number of 2 and they have been in practically nothing (besides Devito).

Wow, I did Brian Bonsall who played little Andy on Family Ties (he was just arrested) and even he has a #2.

This thing is evil. Im pulling out all the stops finding the worst B rate horror flicks and finding no name actors and everyone has a 2 rating. I then went and put in Nader, Ward Churchill, Chomsky, Zinn, and even all of them can be linked to Bacon within 2. I hate this and I will not stop untill i find a 5 or better.

Gah.... this is evil I've now started to do actors from foriegn movies and still no luck. I don't why buy I can't stop.

Even JJ Hardy has a 2 rating, but here's my favorite one:

Jeff Suppan was in "2004 World Series" (2004) (mini) with Steven Tyler (I)

Steven Tyler (I) was in 47th Annual Grammy Awards, The (2005) (TV) with Kevin Bacon

Wow, even Pancho Villa is a 4. For those of you who don't know much about the Mexican Revolution of the early 1900's Villa was one of the Generals of the unprising. The life of Villa is a very interesting story, HBO did a movie about his life that was pretty darn acurate.

Pancho Villa (I) has a Bacon number of 4.

Pancho Villa (I) was in Life of General Villa, The (1914) with Raoul Walsh

Raoul Walsh was in It's a Great Feeling (1949) with Nita Talbot

Nita Talbot was in Check Is in the Mail..., The (1986) with Beau Starr

Beau Starr was in Where the Truth Lies (2005) with Kevin Bacon

I found a movie that has the entire cast as infinite.

MST3K fans will remember Manos, Hands of Fate -- none of those actors ever worked in another movie. It's probably some sort of curse.

By far my favorite MST3K film, and it was the first movie I looked up to start searching on this thing.

I just went to imdb.com and picked the most obscure person I could find from a random movie made in 1901 and even that had a Bacon Number of 4.

Bleuette Bernon has a Bacon number of 4.

Bleuette Bernon was in Cendrillon (1899) with Barral

Barral was in Son altesse (1922) with Blanche Montel

Blanche Montel was in Durand bijoutier (1938) with Maurice Benard

Maurice Benard was in We Married Margo (2000) with Kevin Bacon

"We Married Margo" seems to be the common link in so many obscure searches I've done, which is odd because I've never even heard of it. IMDB's list of the cast is huge though, so it produces a lot of hits..

From Bacon's Wikipedia page

From there the Oracle site posits "The Center of the Hollywood Universe" as being that person with the lowest average personality number. Notably, Kevin Bacon himself is not The Center of the Hollywood Universe, i.e. the most linkable actor. In fact, Bacon does not even make the top 1000 list of average personality numbers.[1] Since average personality numbers are dynamic (mercurial) and can change with each new film made, the Center can and does shift. "Centers" have included Rod Steiger, Dennis Hopper, and Donald Sutherland. Karen Black has been the highest ranked actress in the list
