Braun and Defensive Replacements and Aquino

He did it in tonights game, he took him out in what the 8th inning I believe. I kept thinking, "I hope this doesn't come back to bite us". Sure enough, 2 on in the bottom of the 8th inning and Yost has to go with a guy just called up with Rottino. Granted Rottino almost had a base hit up the middle if it wern't for Loretta making the save there... but nonetheless. I'd rather have Braun batting obviously. I'm somewhat torn on the situation with defensive replacements such as Braun. I realize that Brann's D is horrible but should he have waited another inning, or just have gone with him the entire game? Is this that big of a deal or not really. Just curious to see what others think on that.

 

My other question is about Aquino, he obviously gave up the big hit against the Astros in tonights game. Should Yost have gone with Aquino in that spot? Were there any other options he shouldve gone with? Aquino obviously was in the Minor Leagues for a reason. Pretty much Yost and Melvin didn't think he was big league material. So why put him in a spot like that when the game is on the line?

People are going to be all over Yost for the loss today, but its just as much Turnbow's fault as anyone's. In a 3-run game, you make the defensive replacement expecting the bullpen to hold the lead.
