It looks like Braun's been trying way too hard to match his early season success lately. He swung right through a "HIT ME!" changeup down the middle of the plate like he was guessing fastball.

It's very possible that Braun is just tired. I don't think it's matter of trying to hard. Not to mention that the league is starting to get a book on him now - he's not seeing quite as many belt-high middle in fastballs from LHP's anymore like he was getting early. He needs to stop chasing junk, too, or he's going to be an easy out right now. I have no doubt he will start to rake again - the guy went like three months without ever slumping at all, that's unheard of for any player.
