Chat room issues?


Casey booted me for no reason at all. I didn't say anything wrong. I was there and then I wasn't. Couldn't find him on the user list so I am typing here. Junk.

There was a misunderstanding there, and the thing that sucks is there's no way to "unboot" someone. The min time limit on a booting is an hour, unfortunately. I think Casey may have PM'd you with the details.

I believe you caused a kneejerk response from me by coming out of nowhere to say my font was "obnoxious." I am using a laptop for the first time and also a Brewer chatroom participant for the first time, also. All the users fonts were quite small to read so I wanted to make sure I could read at least what I was submitting.

I had mentioned that font size being too large at least twice before that. So, I was hardly coming out of nowhere. The problem is that no matter what font size you use, the box where you type it in is ALWAYS the default font, so if you really increased it so you could read just what you wrote, that's only possible after it's too late (after you hit send/enter).

If it's really a sight issue, then you can just decrease the resolution on your screen, thereby making all the words from _everyone_ bigger without annoying other users.

So, how long am I reprimanded to the penalty box??

Site issue or sight issue?... Meaning, problem with our site or your sight? I don't mean to pick nits, but I just want to make sure there's not something on our end that is ambiguous or still needs to be resolved.

The "penalty box" time is just an hour.

Hey Brian,

 

Just wanted to let you know that I tested chat just now and my identity issues are resolved. I first saw that old defunct identity as the room opened up, but when your "AST" entry appeared, my correct identity popped up and everything now works. Don't know what you did but if you made the fix, Thanks!

Wish I knew what to tell you, bball. I got in last night, for the first time in about a week, but so far today have been shut out too.

 

I'm leaving for home soon but if I continue to have no luck I'll try paging ransom, our Yuku troubleshooter. Be advised that the problems have stymied him too.

 

I'm looking at it this way: the only game I've chatted in this homestand is the one the Brewers lost. Maybe that was bad mojo. http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/wink.gif

Friday, September 28: I've cleared caches, removed and replaced the chat room, and still get the "wrong password!" message. I've paged ransom in case he can help, but note that I can't promise success.

 

And this is my last in-game chat opportunity of the regular season. Sigh.
