Brian Givens. After many years of rehabbing through various injury-played seasons and surgeries, he had a taste of success with the Crew, even having some national articles written about him. However, he faded rather quickly

Julio Franco. It seems like forever ago that the season began. Very good early on. Things haven't been pretty for awhile, but somehow the team is still hanging around, and nobody can figure out how or why.

 

If it is later revealed that the team fell apart because all the players contracted Ross River Fever, then I will change my vote to Dave Nilsson.
