Bobblehead Packaging Question

mrautomatic87

I had a problem with a recent bobblehead that I sold on eBay and I just wanted some confirmation to my statement to the buyer. I sold a Charlie Moore bobblehead and the buyer claimed that the bobblehead was missing the plastic cover on the packaging. I am positive that mine never had one, as I only opened the box once.

I noticed that my two Cecil Cooper's don't have the plastic cover either, but my Jim Gantner did. Can anyone else confirm this for me? Did the manufacturers start putting the other plastic cover on the bobbleheads sometime after the Cooper was made? Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help.

The main problem I had was that the bobblehead that I shipped somehow ended up broken when it got to the buyer. They buyer accused me of removing the plastic cover. He also said that there was glue that runs down the chin and onto the jersey. I think that the glue may have possibly melted from the heat. I don't know how to convince the person that it was fine when I shipped it. Another problem is that the buyer didn't purchase insurance.

as far as I know the Moore is the only one that had a one tier plastic package, every other one had two parts. It is a shame that BD&A don't package their bobbles in styrophome anymore, that is the way it should be done, but, I guess when there are 50 bobbles a year just for the Brewers, you can't always have everything.

Wow I thought you were talking about no plastic at all. My Moore is the only one I can rememeber that cam with the one part plastica package.

I have had some come with 2 plastic holders stuck together which makes it nice and sturdy. These both came with one cover though.

I do like the styrofoam packaging like the Snappers do except all those little pieces that fall off when you are taking it out of the box.
