How low can you go?

Rick Posner

My feeling is that the Brewers are headed for 12 games below .500 ( a 75-87 record) and a possible fifth place finish. I see them winning ten more games at the most. Anyone out there who still thinks the Crew has a bright future? Right now I'd trade our entire pitching staff for the Pirates' hurlers.

My " theory" is based on their current state of affairs ( pathetic play) and Yost's unfortunate history of second half collapses. Remember the record of second half collapses belongs to the '04 Crew. On the other hand, I hope I am wrong because I want to see them succeed.

What kind of meaningful conversation could possibly be sparked from predicting a team will finish 10-22 (a .313 winning %), "at best". If it's an "at best" prediction, what do you think is the most likely finish, 8-24, 6-26? Why not just say you think the Brewers will finish 0-32 at best and be done with it? Shoot for the stars!

If you truely, honestly, cross your heart-hope to die, believe that the Brewers have no chance of winning 11 more games, hit up Vegas and put your money where your mouth is. Bet for the Brewers to lose every game from here on out and you'll make a lot of money. Of course, if this prediction is just something you just pulled out of your butt and couldn't dream of wagering a $1 on it, why did you feel compelled to share it with us?
