What happened to Parra?

RU Rah Rah

Wow, just got a chance to check back with this. The way the limits have been discussed, I honestly thought that there was some new rule that baseball had instituted, because everyone was talking in such hard numbers..like it was a rule or something. I'm old school, and I'm not sure what the difference is between pitchers now and 20 years ago, especially with the money thats being thrown around now.

User in-game thread post in 1st inning of 3rd game of the 2022 season: "This team stinks"

I think the money being thrown around a big part of it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif It's expensive to develop a blue chip prospect and it's expensive to replace injured major leaguers.

There was a wonderful set of three articles posted on this subject about three years ago. It's driving me nuts that I haven't been able to find them for a while. They were probably on either Hardball Times or Baseball Prospectus. The upshot was that after age 25, injury worries are significantly less. It must have something to do with players' bodies still developing before that age.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.
