Is it just Pick n Save in Milwaukee area, or would they have it in Madison too?

In Madison, I have seen Secret Stadium Sauce at both Woodman's and the Hilldale Sentry. I can't speak for Pick n Save.

We usually walk on the frugal side and either eat before we reach the park or stop for subs to carry in (saving the ballpark food for times when we're running late and don't have time to stop). However, once a year I treat myself to the cactus league nachos; and when we have our annual club seats, I get the turkey burger, which I like a lot. Early in the season, when it was cooler, I'd occasionally spring for the hot chocolate chip cookies.

Speaking of pretzels, at the standalone Pretzel Pit stands you can get pretzels with non-salt toppings, like cinnamon sugar. Some of the toppings are more savory but at least they aren't those salt hunks (which are too much for me, too). Since those pretzels start off plain (until they dip them in butter and then the topping), I can't imagine they wouldn't sell you a plain one if you asked.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Well crap, now I look quite the fool. But in the end, I guess I'm glad that I know that they're there somewhere.

Don't feel bad. Just last Tuesday a patron asked the Designated Driver/Free Soda lady at home plate if there were cheese curds in the stadium. She replied that they weren't served there. Maybe they should promote that item more?

Also, go to Gorman's Gourmet and get a Kosher Hot Dog. It's $4, but it's the size of a brat. That would be like hitting a 450 ft moon shot for your HR instead of a wall scraper.

EA Sports...It's in the game...until we arbitrarily decide to shut off the server.

The food service at MP is terrible. Sausage, hamburgers, and pizza is about it. Lines are way too long. They should take a look at Chase Field in Arizona for how to do it. They have easily double the amount of places to buy food. Different restaurants all have facilities there. They could have Saz's, Culver's, Chipotle, whatever in there. Instead, it's all sportservice slop. It all tastes the same. I got the "premium" nachos, the one they serve from the little tiny cart. It just reminds me of a school lunch.

Most people in Milwaukee are happy with crappy sausages and beer in a plastic cup, I guess.

I guarantee they carry it at Woodman's West. I just bought a bottle there two weeks ago.

My family and I always bring in a softsided cooler with beverages and a bag of peanuts. Then my wife usually gets one of those personal pizzas and I get a polish sausage and my kid gets a hot dog. Then, occasionally we'll splurge on popcorn or nachos during the game.

I think everyone carried Secret Stadium Sauce now. I have some in my fridge!

But back to food, the polish there is by far the best sausage served in the stadium. The Brats there are ok, not stellter (Compared to tailgated Brats!), but the polish. It's divine, don't even need any kind of condiments on it.

I will admit the lines this year have been really bad at the park. The food is still great, but it can take forever to get it sometimes.

Agree. I know a bunch of the stands are staffed by charities, but the slower of the lines always seems to be Sports-no-service. I really hope MA looks at their contract once they are up. Service speed seems to always stink at times.

This is Wisconsin, most people would be very happy with crappy sausages and beer in a plastic cup. Actually that sounds pretty good for my lunch today.

The trick is to not go when everyone else goes. After the third inning is when everyone gets up to get things. Before the game can be rough if you don't get there about 10 minutes before first pitch.

I usually don't have problems. People seem to clump into the same lines creating longer lines than necessary. It seems like there are always shorter lines at the ends of the stands. I've seen people 10 deep in lines and I walk up to another line with like 2 people in it. I don't get it. Maybe they like lines a lot?

Also, avoid lines being worked by old women. No offense to old people or women but they don't work well with the computers I've noticed and are slow overall. Really, you want to look for lines run by men in their 30's or 40's. These guys seem to work the fastest. The know how to poor a beer too.

Also, if one stand is bunched up walk to another. Very often in the Terrace behind home plate where they have 2 stands very close, the one closer to third base is always more busy than the other one. I don't know why. Maybe because it's closer to the bathroom?

I fancy myself a Miller Park concession pro. I usually find a way to avoid lines. I usually get up before the last out of an inning because the lines will be much shorter. It's rare I miss any action.

The only thing I usually buy at the ballpark is ice cream or dipping dots since they are not really items you can carry in. Also beer now and then, but I have a hard time paying 6-pack prices for one beer.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

I highly recommend the chorizo with salsa on flour tortilla. I lay awake at night from time to time thinking about its tasty goodness. I usually stop at the chorizo stand before I even get to my seats. Good stuff!

Where is that? I have always wanted to try a chorizo, but can never find them at any stands.

You can't look at it that way. You have to look at it as buying "game enhancers". They cost a lot, sure, but they're like any other premium thing.

I usually buy the tall ones which are 20 or 22 Oz. They're $7.25. In a bar 2 bottles of beer cost me around $7.00 (3.50 a piece you figure). So it's fairly even. You pay a slight premium (34 cents VS 29 cents an ounce) but that's how it goes. It's not much worse than going to a bar.

And go to other stadiums. At Shea it cost $7.00 for a 12 oz beer! Now that's a rip off!

Now, if I had full season tickets and went to like 70 games, it'd be a different story. I have a Friday night ticket package so it's an extension of going out really. I don't buy beer during day games usually.
