The Chattanoogan:

The Huntsville Stars grabbed a 5-1 lead, then held on to beat the Chattanooga Lookouts Sunday, 5-4.

The key play of the game came in the bottom of the eighth inning when, with bases loaded and two away, Jay Garthwaite hit a ball to the base of the Coca-Cola sign. Huntsville center fielder Steve Moss, made a leaping catch to rob Garthwaite of extra bases that would have cleared the bases. Moss was stunned and lay on the ground for a minute before leaving the field.

Catcher J.C. Boscan applies the tag to Guilder Rodriquez who tried to score from third on a bouncer to the Lookouts pitcher, Rick Asadoorian.

Looks are deceiving. Luis Bolivar is safe at second in the first inning. The Stars' Yohannis Perez takes the throw.

Stinking Fermaint is trying to give EDR far too much ammo to use against me this week.

Chuck's BABIP with men on base was hovering around .400, so it was only a matter of time before he started to have a few of 'em fall.

He only hits 'em while they count apparently.

now I've got that voice from NBA Jam in my head . ..
