Yuku's new message notification isn't very clear. A Yuku staff member is working on a better alternative, but no rollout timetable seems to be set.

 

Here's what to look for:

 

If you have no new messages, your navigation button remains gray:

If you have new messages, the button turns bright pale blue:

Yuku's Firefox extension is a big help for managing messages. It places an icon and new message indicator in the browser's status bar. If a member has new messages, the "light" will blink. What's really wonderful is that this works even if a member isn't visiting a Yuku page.
