IGT 8/18 Reds (E. Ramirez) at Brewers (Vargas), 6:05

Brewer Fanatic Staff

With four minor league affiliates already qualified for the post-season, and Nashville, with the best record in all of AAA sure to clinch also, here's some postseason mojo for the big boys. Honestly, what else is there to try? Not much. If this produces a win, we'll keep posting until a victory streak runs dry, we run out of mascots, or Woogie returns.

Nice work, Mass. I like that they're quintuplets. http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/wink.gif

Psst, Brewers, another Saturday Night Special would be extremely well timed. Just saying.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

You know what? I'll take them playing like a professional baseball team tonight--even in a loss. I'm so desperate right now, I'd be thrilled to see a good loss. Man that sucks.

You know I actually agree, talk about lowering your expectations. But if they hit and score some runs and at least make it a close game and Vargas pitches well into the game. Im okay with that, at this point we need something to at least want to cheer for.

In 24.0 career innings against the Brewers The Lizard is 1-0 with a 4.13 ERA. He's making his first big league start of the season after throwing a couple innings in relief earlier in the year. For AAA Louisville, Ramirez was 3-3 with a 3.75 ERA in 11 starts.

If you all remember, Ramirez started against the Brewers in that 3-0 11-inning loss the Brewers had in Cincinnati last year...I believe it was Carlos Villanueva that took turns putting up 0's with Ramirez that game, but the Reds won on a 3-run walkoff HR off of Danny Kolb. In that outing, Ramirez went 8 innings, striking out 10. Here's to hoping the Brewers avoid another outing like that.

Got some inside info from the organization... They're planning on winning 9-4. Sorry to ruin it for everyone.

Cool. Thanks for the inside info...looks like I'll have to miss this game anyway, so knowing the score in advance helps me out. http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/laugh.gif

Well, looks like I won't be watching the game tonight...even if I wanted to. Satellite doesn't work too well when it's raining, and tonight, it's raining enough in Sheboygan to make my satellite not work. So, I'll be following the game online.
