got in this morning. Thanks for the directions. MUCH better instructions than what they give you on the invoice.

Wow, $800 spent in 10 seconds.

Well, it's been three weeks since I started this thread and pronounced my intention not to send in for my playoff tickets.

After a stretch of playing better, I was starting to waver (that and my wife shaking her head at me like I'm an idiot for following the team all these years and then not getting playoff tickets when there's a chance).

The deadline is tomorrow. As of this morning, I still didn't know what I was going to do. So, I made it simple: If the Cubs lost, I'd order the playoff tickets.

Ryan Dempster owes me a lot of money.

Did anyone see this in J/S this morning:

If you are a current 9 game ticket holder and have not heard from the Brewers yet regarding playoff tix, then this might tick you off:

Fans who buy a new 9-pack plan for 2008 will be able to purchase an equal number of tickets for the first Division Series game played at Miller Park.

Also, it gives two options to get playoff tix (other than lottery), purchase a 2008 40 game or 9 game plan. What about full season or 20 game? Also, what if I'm a current 20 game plan holder and I re-up now for 2008? Does that entitle me to the right to purchase more playoff tix?

Well as a way to get new customers for next year, I don't think that's a surprising move. You're still better off having had the nine game pack this year already because you would have a ticket to the Division Series and the NLCS should we get there.

I wouldn't think re-upping now would help you get more seats though, because you're still only entitled to as many playoff tickets as the number of seats you hold. So if you have 2 seats this year, re-upping for 2 seats next year is still only 2 seats come playoff time.

Yeah, I just brought this up because there have been one or two people posting in this thread that said they have not heard anything from the Brewers yet regarding playoff tickets for 9 pack holders. Look at post from dannyjnoonan that was posted Wednesday.

Yeah, that's my thinking too. But still, couldn't you just have a relative or friend call in and get a season ticket plan (then you pay them back) and then not renew yours? That way, you would get twice as many playoff tix this year and still be eligable next year. I realize that you would not get the same seats (for your season ticket plan).

You could, but you lose senority. For instance, my season tickets were section 420 row 1. My playoff tickets are 425 row 7. Which kinda stinks.

Yeah...I'm not sure how much that senority thing matters (even though my account exec assured me that it does). I have been a 20 game season ticket holder since 1993. My seats are in section 217 row 10. They are awsome seats..the first row just before the press box, no one behind you. My playoff tickets are section 210 row 6. Not anywhere near my season tickets. I would think after 14 years of being a season ticket holder, I would get seats closer to where my original seats are.

Well you probably did get seats about as close as you could though. You have to figure most of the great seats are going to be reclaimed by the Brewers and MLB to give out to sponsors and the like. It sucks for us, but that's the way it is.

Also, I didn't think about until now, but if you have a 20 pack, there could be a couple of other people who also have a 20 pack in those same seats, and if you spread that out around the stadium, people are going to keep being pushed backwards. I know there's at least one other group that has my same seats for a different package of games. So if we both buy playoff tickets, that's now 4 people taking up 4 seats instead of 2.

Probably seniority is but one piece of the formula. Another piece is probably the quality/potential popularity of your 'regular' seats. Our seniority officially goes back to 1996 (we started in 1993 but skipped 1995 since they were asking for $ well before they could guarantee any games would be played), and we stayed in our section, moving just a few rows. Our section is TB 417, which is not going to be as desirable as your usual, awesome location - on which I agree with you, as we had seats in that row for a day game in July and loved it.

Off-topic a bit (and way off-topic for most of you), I wonder if the family sections would stay intact for postseason games. I am not counting on it.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

True. Although our season tix are in the family section, so I'm not sure those are neccesarily tickets that would be used for sponsors. I'm wondering if possibly they will use the sections just below the press box for additional press. If I remember correctly they had addition press out in the right field bleachers for the all-star game.

Anybody have the link for registering for the lottery. Also, I can't find the online links to even start to look at purchasing season packs for next year. Everything looks like this year?
I don't think the lottery starts until noon today, so there may not be a link out there yet. Also, since there is not a 2008 schedule available yet, I'm guessing that you are best off calling the Brewer season tix office (414-902-4100) if you are thinking about buying a season package for next year in order to get playoff tickets this year.
