MiLB.com Brevard County Game Notes:

Salome sparks Manatees

Angel Salome's two-run double keyed a five-run first inning as Brevard County beat visiting Lakeland, 6-2, to snap a six-game losing streak on Friday.

Alcides Escobar, Lorenzo Cain and Chris Errecart singled before Salome belted a double to center field to give the Manatees (34-27) a 3-0 lead. Salome came home on Michael Bell's grounder to short and Ned Yost, who was 2-for-2, followed with a run-scoring double.

Starter Steve Garrison (4-2) won for the first time since May 16 after giving up an unearned run on four hits and three walks with three strikeouts in five innings.

Flying Tigers starter Matt O'Brien (0-2) was charged with five runs on eight hits and three walks in six frames.

Justin Justice went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored for the Flying Tigers (27-32). Ovandy Suero chipped in a single and stole his Minor League-leading 43rd base. -- Michael Echan/MLB.com

Not RHP J. T. King's Best moment, he's been solid, but if you click on the "Katie King" link off the Legends' home page, you'll see King (J.T, not Katie) offer up Koby Clemens home run for Lexington last night, along with a Koby Clemens interview.

Katie's there after every home game for the Legends, who do a nice job with video production for all their home games, hopefully something we'll see for all the affiliates over the next few years:

Give yourself a treat and listen to Andy Barch's audio archive from June 8th at this link -- listen to the first five minutes as Andy summarizes recent roster moves and talks about the Power's quest for some record-setting victory totals, then the three-run 8th, including Brent Brewer's homer, begins at the 2:11 mark.

The Power follow that up with a four-run 9th, including Chuckie Caufield's bases-loaded double to tie the game at 7-7. At the very least, check out that hit at the 2:46 mark.
