Fantasy Baseball DL question

i'd drop Sheets. by the time he comes back, you'll only be getting 6 or so starts out of him for the rest of the season. some set-up guy could get you similar numbers over a month's time if you really needed it.

Roster size and how many starters you need would help. First thought is to let Sheets go he is maybe going to be back Sept 1 and that would give you a month of stats from him which might be what 5 starts at the most.

Soriano out 6 weeks would be eaiser to replace with an OFer

I have Beltran and Sheets (and Pence), and I'm in a league with only 1 DL spot (how I hate that 1 DL spot!). Luckily I took over first place last week, so I think I can afford to carry all 3 for a little longer. I had to get rid of Josh Hamilton, Mike Napoli and Eric Chavez recently though. I couldn't take up my whole bench with DL guys. That 1 dl spot also cost me Joakim Soria earlier this year.

So anyway, I would try to hold on to them all if you can at all afford to do do. I'm counting on my injured guys to carry me into and through the playoffs.

Depends on the size of league and scoring method, number of OF slots you have, and who you have on your roster now..but I'd put serious thought into hanging onto all three and then reinstating Beltran to take Soriano's spot. For what it's worth, Beltran said today that he could be ready to come off the DL by the end of the week. Link

If you're not comfortable with losing a spot, I'd drop Sheets and hope to pick him back up when Beltran is back. Sheets can fly under the radar of some owners, but Beltran and Soriano certainly won't.

Or you can just drop Soriano because the Cubs, far out of the playoff hunt, will not rush him back in mid-September. http://static.yuku.com/v2//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/wink.gif
