Speaking of the "double blister", isn't anyone else thinking that it was totally preventable had the trainer or Mike Maddux used his head? They send out Ben to throw a "simulated game" on Phoenix afternoon with the temperature of around 110. Here's a guy with a blister history throwing four seamers and hard curves in the heat with no protection on his hand? There's no rule about wearing a small tape or bandage on a finger in a "simulated" game is there?

Or Ben Sheets could just be made of glass...

Toughness does not seem to be Ben's strong suit.

 

I actually did hurt myself sneezing once as embarrassing as it sounds. I was at work, slouching in my chair and a big sneeze came and I whipped my neck wrong and kinda pulled it. I had a pretty bad kink in it going down my spine some for about 4 or 5 days and would not have been able to pitch.

 

Not as bad as the friend of mine who broke his ankle/lower leg golfing. Don't ask.

I hope Sheets never does something really wussy-like and get hit by a car or get cancer. It would be just like him to screw his fans like that.

I haven't really injure myself sneezing, but have messed my pants on occasion. The violent nature of the sneeze is a very troubling thing sometimes....
