Here's to Vargas forgetting about those home run balls he threw at MP, especially being at Coors for tonights game. With the Cubs hurting now with the loss of Soriano, now is the time to show no mercy and build a 3-4 game lead. Let's Go Crew!

I'll be at one of these games and I'll bring my Denver mojo with me. Last time I went to a game at Coors Field, the Brewers swept and Bad Chad hit a grandslam.http://static.yuku.com/v2//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/eek.gif

Jenkins you grizzly Lifer: Captain of Coors, Maestro of mojo, Ringleader of the roadtrip, Vindicator of Vargas, Sultan of streakiness... now is your time... this is still your team. Make Mark pick up that $8M option like he's picking up tech stocks.

Is Ned astute enough to put Geoffrey at the 5 hole? stack the lefties, ride the crest of this wave!

Not too excited about the Vargas pu pu platter: I think Spurling gets 2, Villy 1 and Leinies closes it out. But these darn tootin western time zone games will be a nice respite... wake up in the morning and check the box scores like the days of yore.

Why couldn't the game be an hour later? It's interfering with my quality VH1 programming tonight @ 8!

Well... who wants to take the over/under on Vargas going... 5 2/3.

I'll take over (6 IP) on that. I hope I'm not being too optimistic here, but Claudio could help the pen a little by going deeper still...

With yesterday's mess chewing up the bullpen, I'll bet they're hoping for something like Vargas, 6 IP, Spurling 7th, Shouse 8th, Linebrink 9th. There's not a lot of room for error, if Vargas is gone early, I don't even know who they'd bring in.

I think it's gonna be a high scoring game with Vargas gone after 5. I could also see Shouse going 2 innings tonight.

Jenkins numbers against Fogg look awesome. I believe he's a sinkerball guy who's been solid lately.

Man this is the perfect time to put some distance back with the Cubs...and show they can win on the road.

Agreed. We'll need at least 6 from Vargas and then Rubber-arm Shouse and Spruls will need to be used to get the ball to Linebrink. Coco, Turnbow, Wise and possibly even Parra (still think he's feeling the effect of that 6 1/3 game) should not be used today. I'd even give Coco minimum 2 to 3 days off after throwing 40 pitches yesterday and pitching in 3 consecutive games.

Given that Claudio didn't even get thru the 3rd in his start, you gotta hope the guy has a little extra in the tank tonight. You almost have to make this a take one for the team start. 7 innings minimum or 120 pitches whatever comes first no matter the score.

Also I'm going to be cheering that the Brewers don't score any runs in the 1st. Thats seems to be taboo nowadays.

That NLC tracker hurts my eyes. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Haha.. I know.. I'm trying to come up with some templates to just put the new data in. I'll clean them up a bit in the future, and make them far more pretty then they are. It's a "first try" thing. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
