Softball Tournaments

Kpanz20
Anybody know of any Wisconsin softball tourneys in the next month or so that still have spots open? I'm looking to get my team in one or two and I wanted to see whats out there. A lot of times the small town ones are the best but there's no advertisment for them besides the local taverns.

check the "recreation notes" in the back of the sunday journal sentinel...usually on the same page or opposite the scorecard page. they usually have a few tournaments listed each sunday

EDIT: found it online

I should probably have specified that but I'm looking for something outside of Milwaukee. We like to travel a bit. Preferably within an hour of two of the Green Bay/Appleton area.

Thanks for the help... I don't think your link works though.

Sheboygan has the Toys for Tots Tourney. It usually has around 100 teams in various skill brackets. I will be playing in that one come late August. In a couple weeks I am playing in one near West Bend that has 10 teams. It's a one-pitch tourney so the format is unique atleast for me, which is kinda nice.

I am well aware Milwaukee is within 2 hours of Green Bay...thanks. I specified outside of Milwaukee because most of our players are from Milwaukee and we like to travel.

That Sheboygan tournament sounds pretty cool razorsharp... but it's during the week. I think that'll be a problem.

I'll check out that one in Appleton, thanks all.

There is a tournament in the West Bend area over the 2nd to last weekend in August. Might be alittle bit late to get in. I also dont have the direct information because I will be playing on a different team then my norm. But yea, normally the small towns get tournament going. I have played in a tournament the past 5 weekends all withing 20 min of my hometown of Beaver Dam. All have about 5 quality teams. Would be nice to see some new talent. Too bad I didnt see this sooner as we are playing in one in Fox Lake this weekend. Thats about an hour+ away from Milwaukee and in the Appleton range as well.

Geez, haven't they closed Sluggers down yet? That was months ago they got busted for the third time (serving to minors). Nice enough bar, too bad they hired a bunch of goofballs.

I pretty sure there's a tourney in Harrison the last week of August, but the bar owner who was going to get us into it never got the info out to us. Guess that's what happens when someone promises you something at 2:00 AM...actually, alot can go wrong with that scenario. S'pose I'm lucky that's all that went wrong that night.

Actually, if you're bored and enjoy just watching softball, Aug 13th-16th the Appleton City tournament will be going on at Memorial Park. Something to do, I guess.

fstorm, you might as well just tell you team to stay home this year, because JMW is going to roll.

There is a co-ed tourny in menasha this weekend, and another one in omro. Neenah city tourny is going on right now.

Tsk, tsk. You silly goose, we're not there to win, we're there for the love of the game. http://static.yuku.com/v2//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/tongue.gif

looks like the championship may be an interesting matchup JMW and Extreme Sluggers. My money will be on Extreme Sluggers.

2 years ago we beat that team when it was Go Wireless to win the city tourny, then last year we didn't enter and they won it. Both are very good teams and hopefully will make the finals.

The Omro tourny is co-ed this weekend
