Did you hear Brenly in the second inning discuss the Brewers incident yesterday? His response was something to the effect of, "That's why Johnny Estrada has played for three teams in six years."

Is Zambrano hurt?

 

He was doing some funny stretching with his arm between pitches earlier and now Lou pulls him after the HR. Lou was out there before the inning as well. Something's up.

Yeah that worked out well! With Zambrano having 88 pitches through 5 innings & the cubs bullpen needing a break. Does Piniella pull him after 6 or run his pitch total up? Or bring in Wood?

 

The Cubs never seemed overly concerned about Zambrano's pitch count. IIRC, he leads the league in Pitcher Abuse points.

What happened? I'm convinced that Zambrano's arm has been filled with cortisone for the past month.
