For fun, I was following the game on a Phillies board and they've got one guy over there (lots of posts, lots of negativity, no clue) who was saying Gallardo has two pitches, neither of which are very good and that it's embarrassing that he shut down the Phils tonight.

Whatever.http://static.yuku.com/v2//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/laugh.gif

I think it's obvious that the Brewers won tonight because Coco was inspired by the dispute last night. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

The Brewers won because Yo is awesome. The prospect of Sheets and Yo at the top of the rotation next year is really exciting.

I enjoyed watching that game tremendously. Both Yo and the Kendrick kid were a joy to watch. I don't know much about Kyle Kendrick, but for a kid who skipped Triple A, you gotta like the way he commands the strike zone, mixes speeds and hits his spots. The kid doesn't throw hard, so he knows keeping folks off-balance is the key.

What else can you say about Yo? He's a stud. Its like whenever I know Sheets is on the mound. I try to clear whatever I have going on just to make sure I can catch his starts.

Bill Hall is really, really struggling right now. Although, is there really any Brewer batter that would be considered "hot" right now?

Braun still has been quite good. Hart and Fielder have been luke warm.

I'd put Estrada in there (11-22)vs. Hart (5-26) the last few games as far as being hot.

This was a big, big win to get tonight. Facing Hamels tomorrow, it is nice to get the series off to a good start.

Yo was unbelievable against a pretty good lineup. I couldn't figure out why Werth was batting leadoff, but whatever. Yo seemed to have control problems with his curveball early, but quickly fixed it. He sat down 14 in a row at one point, and also hit 95 on the gun. Shouse, Turnbow, and Cordero were also very impressive. Now if only that would translate into road games...

Every team has a magic number until they get eliminated. The D Rays' is 80.

I'll buy 53 for the Brewers. The Cubs have a magic number too (55). The DRays don't have a magic number, only an elimination number. If you can win all your games and still be eliminated, you don't have a magic number.
