How Did Rickie Take The News?

I'm sure it was tough, but I have to assume he took it fine. If he has a brain in his head he has to realize that he has barely been able to put a bat on a ball teh last couple months and was being far outperformed by Graffanino in particular. If he puts his focus on spending the next 3-4 weeks fixing himslef, he will be in a position to be heard from before this season is over.

Pretty clear by this move that the Brewers are not messing around anymore. If you don't produce, we're going to get someone in here who can - 1st round pick or not.

Thanks Stoops! Boy this shows just how tenuous things can be, how dangerous a demotion can be, it can cascade into the locker room, but if the report is accurate I think Melvin handled it well.

Probably a mistake that cost us the division.

I think thatmay be a tad extreme, unless of course you haven't been watching guys names Suppan, Capuano, Cordero, Turnbow, Estrada the last few weeks.

You guys are acting like we lost the division already!! There is still two months to go and we are still tied for 1st place!!!! Nothing has cost us the division yet because we havent lost yet. Try to be optimistic people, that is the only way I can stay sane being a Brewers fan

interesting that that article mentions that the Brewers have lost Capuano's last 12 starts. That is terrible (obviously). I knew he had been pitching poorly, but I didn't realize that his spot has been an automatic loss for awhile now.

It just shows how useless W/L is for judging a pitcher. In those 12 starts he has gone...

More than one of those games should have been won by the Brewers.

it was really sad last night, my Friend and I waited after the game for autographs and stayed later than anyone else, at about 11 or a little after, a mercedez rolled up and we were wondering who it was, a couple minutes later he got out of his car, the cart pulled up and gave him all of his stuff, he shook the attendants hand, and then some other workers came and he said good bye. It was really sad, we both shouted good luck Rickie, and he said all right and waved. I hope he comes back soon.

gosh, you really love to ride me about Capuano. I know w/l doesn't tell you much about a guy's inherent quality. However, losing 12 straight starts is not a good sign for the year where it happens, which is all I was saying.
