Brewers have company

Hard to say that the Brewers have collapsed much, though the bullpen has had a couple of mini-meltdowns. If they play .500 the rest of the way, they'll end up with a record comparable to most preseason predictions (85-86 wins), which we thought would have a good shot at the division, but the Cubs look like they could end up with 90-92 wins.

Right now we really need Prince and Hall to get hot (of course Hart & Hardy need to wake up also). I'm still confident that the Brewers will be right in the thick of things at the end but it's hard to call them the favorite to win the Central at this point especially with Sheets out till September or perhaps later.

What I don't get, as far as cubs fans go, is why some people delight in others' misery. Isn't a nice in-season comeback and a division title exciting enough? Isn't the ride intrinsically fun and fulfilling? And isn't it just as obvious that they're going nowhere in the playoffs given their holes. I mean, when is the next time an 83 to 86 winning team gonna win it all. Classless.
