9th is a good spot for counsell in this lineup. he can get on, and then hopefully pods can move him on a walk or a basehit. although with this lineup, nothing is guaranteed.

I see the Angels finding a lot of holes, as we appear to be leaving quite a gap on the left side of the IF.

Mondesi is not a centerfielder. Why don't they have him DH and let DaVanon play in center?

 

It probably won't matter, as we aren't real good at hitting balls out of the infield, but you never know. Hopefully the range-challenged Angels' outfield will let some gappers through.

I just posted them a couple game threads ago, but can't find the post off-hand. He's actually hit better in "clutch" situations than he has overall.

 

His current OPS with 2 outs and RISP is actually 1.007. So no, he's not in Royce Clayton territory.
