Ned had to see if he could eat up some more innings with Davis. He really had no choice. He only has so many pitchers and there was that 11 inning affair two days ago when Ohka went less than 4 innings

Doug Davis couldn't grip the ball today. If you were watching the broadcast or listening to Bob/Jim, you know as much. He had no feel for it today, and that was evident innings ago.

Yeah, I understand the bullpen isn't "well rested" but its not like everyone in the bullpen threw 3 innings each yesterday.

This isn't a long-term problem for Doug, just a bad outing. Every pitcher, regardless of how good he is has a day just like Doug did. Please save the talk of him not being a good #2 starter just because he had one bad game. Everyone has games like this once in awhile. Doug will be back on track next start, just like good pitchers are.

Don't give up so fast guys, if we can get to Benson a little here then we will be fine as their bullpen is for sure overworked.

Yeah, it isn't like Mr. Anna is throwing BBs up there. This game isn't over, and the scoring isn't done.

Davis was already at 100 pitches. No reason to leave him in there with no command at all. Uecker seems more frustrated about this than anyone.

Don't blame Helling. A career starter was brought in with the bases loaded. Another move that makes no sense to me.

all we ask is that ned does not leave a guy in that shows obviously that something is terribly wrong

there will be a game tomorrow, no one predicts the end of the world

but, c'mon, all of ned's relatives that are posting here, open up your eyes... ned embarrassed himself, ned embarrassed doug and ned has moved us further away from .500 than nearer it

in the last 30 mins, ned did a terrible job, he is still the best man for the job, I say, but in the last 30 mins he did a much more terrible job than doug... doug did not have control of his arm for whatever reason

but ned did not have control of his brain, that is not acceptable

Ok Wiggum....."I speak for every.....no, I speak for me. Please just go away. Fans with your attitude suck."

Ned Yost is the greatest manager in MLB.

Doug Davis was stellar today and is a great #2 pitcher.

....with EXCELLENT control

The Brewers are a clutch team and Rick Helling is a baseball god.

Do you want me to keep going on with the thoughts that are in your head or should I just stop now while I'm ahead???

Ahead of what exactly? Yes, please stop. No need to attack me. This is a Brewer fan site, not a fairweather fan site.

Hate to pile on, but every so often I feel like everyone in the stadium plus a nationwide TV audience can tell a pitcher is done, and yet Ned and Maddux have to see a detonation just to be sure. DD has worked his way out of a lot of jams, but who thought he was going to get out of this one? Anyone?
