Good signs from Pods, today and yesterday, and a good night from Brady.

Actually, his slump was never all that bad. It was superficial. Maybe I'll crunch the numbers later, but off the top of my head, he's drawn walks, hasn't struck out much, and has been simply hitting line drives too deep into the OF. It seems to me that in the last 5 or 6 games, Pods is trying to pull the ball more

Heh, at this point I kinda feel bad for this kid Bergman. I bet he had a whole bunch of family and friends cheering his debut. DOH!

Okay, is it safe for me to turn this off? 'Night fellas!

We are beating the (*insert expletive of your choice here*) out of the Angels. This is wonderfully fulfilling.

Gotta agree. Wonder if old man Jenkins sat down before the series and explained to all the new guys that a few years back, the Angels came into Miller Park and kicked our butts en route to the Series. Vengence is ours!

I remember that Angels series at Miller Park. Ruben Quevedo vs. the Angels was one of the biggest mismatches in MLB history.

It seemed like the Angels had 9 million line drive hits in a row. One of the longest and most draining games I have seen.

That poor kid got shelled in his MLB debut. I love my Brewers, but I do feel bad for that kid.

Yeah, me too. He'll get over it, and we can just blame Mondesi.

Wait, did the Angels just pinch run with Jose Molina? If you're Tim Salmon, that must be pretty embarrasing. That's like getting pinch-hit for by Neifi Perez.

This is the kind of thing you only get on West Coast Brewerfan In-Game Threads. :)

Yeah, we pretty much sucked. How 'bout that line from Q, huh?

EDIT: This post isn't formatted so nice, but it's late and I'm too tired to fix it. Follow the links to get the complete box scores and revisit a bit of un-good Brewers' history.

Revenge is sweet,

Are there any Brewer fans out there who can say they haven't enjoyed the first 60 games of the season? This isn't a playoff team, they maybe aren't even a "good" team, but they also aren't like any of the other teams that have littered County Stadium and Miller Park the last 10+ years.

I've committed myself to stop analyzing this team thru the Astro series and just sit back an enjoy.

I believe it was I yesterday who ate a cheese sandwich and proclaimed that yesterday's game was rock-bottom catharsis for the players and would lead to a huge scoring binge.

The cheese doesn't lie.

Try to find that I didn't say that in that thread.

Go get some sleep, Chris... you'll feel better in the morning http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif .

You're right, though, this has been a lot of fun. The beginning of the 2001 season was sort of like this, but not really. I don't think we've had a team this exciting to follow since 1992.

Podsendik with three hits, Brady Clark with four, Bill Hall with three RBI (put him in right field, Ned!)...

I think the offense just woke up... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

And Victor Santos did okay - must not have had his best stuff, but he really only made one mistake - and that other run reall wasn't earned.
