6/26/2004 - Brewers (Santos) @ Twins (Guerrier)

MassBrew

Great win! Before the game I was thinking that it may have taken an ass-wooping for all of them to get their heads back on straight, then they come out and reel off 14 hits.

Great job, lets take the series tomorrow (I'll be there!!).

A team that (up to this point) has Wes Obermueller as the #5, has no business trading another starter for anything.

Let's worry about getting a consistent 1-7 before we worry about getting a better hitting #8. As long as the staff has success Gary Bennett and Chad Moeller deserve jobs. Every hit from them is a bonus.

I enjoyed being at this game. It was nice to score when we had runners on base. It was great to see Santos and Adams dealing. I liked that we had the strikeout advantage 10-2.

Sheesh....Bennett is awful....Coste is hitting .291 at AAA...maybe he could hit 225 or so? come on!

I'd think it'd certainly be worth a try. The only worry I have is about how much Bennett's ability to "call a game" has helped the pitching staff. As awful as he's been at the plate, I guess he may be useful if he works with pitchers that well. Personally, I think it's all about Maddux though, so Bennett's time should hopefully be limited.

However, he is very grizzled and can scrap, battle, and display grit with the best, so Ned may veto any move to release him.
