7-1-04 Brewers (Santos) @ Colorado (Stark)

ja002h
I think everybody needs to lay off the pitching choice. You DO need to worry about tomorrow, #2 is a freaking bullpen game for crying out loud. Brooks *should* be able to go a few batters and get a couple of them out. No one's thinking that they're gonna get 5, and don't forget we made ERRORS.

Umm, it was 10-4 when I left work. And it's only a 20 minute walk from work to home. Geez.

How long did Brooks stay in? I get the idea of reintroducing a pitcher when you're up 6 instead of in a much closer game...but.

Still, I'll try not to question that full page worth of Sweep graphics that started off this thread.

Hoping I'll have something happy to post in a moment...

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

That was BIG...the offense finially produced to give the starter some big time breathing room but a close finish like that really keeps the team on their toes. There is no time to relax if this team wants to keep suprising all of baseball.

7 games over .500 are you kidding me? No way, its because Danny Kolb is AMAZING and these Brewers just know how to BATTLE BABY!!!!

sweet sweep...lets roll into our double header tommorow like it matters (which it does). Two games in one day can really make or break an overall record and the spirit of a team...just think that saturday morning the Milwaukee Brewers can be 9 games over .500....

its like shooting a pair of free throws though...you have to "make the first"

I guess we can only use Kolb in the pen from now on? is arm will fall off, but I guess with a 6 run lead it was wrong of Yost to bring in a pitcher with a sub 4 ERA. Hey, I'll bash Yost whenever I can, but come the hek on.

All I could think of when it looked like the crew might lose was, "Now I need to see 1,000,000 posts on how the Crew didn't want it enough, or can't emotionally handle winning, or win during the day, or sweep a team, blah blah blah."

THANK YOU CREW!

I love it! I'm ready for the 4:05 CST doubleheader (for bernie) to get started now. Actually, my nerves could probably use a drink or break after that 8th inning and Danny shutting them down with the tying run on 3rd.

Time to exercise the demons of PNC. We were losers of nine straight at Coors before the sweep! Let's get it done in the Iron City. Davis and Perez should be a good match-up in Game 1. Plus, we'll get to see the hot hitting Chad Moeller.

Any announcement on who's throwing in Game 2. Guess Ned and Maddux will make the call on the flight. Probably a Wise/Kinney combo. I guess they could throw Obermueller in Game 2? We'll see!!

"The thing for us is, don't think about tomorrow," Jenkins said. "Don't try to face Mark Prior today."

Make sure the young ones are listening to you Captain Jenkins. Thank God you had the smarts not to wear a Sweep Suit in 2001 and piss off the baseball gods!!!
