The brand of baseball played at Coors is just stupid. Score score score. It's like Arena baseball or something. My friend saw a game there, said he left after 3.5 hours, 7 innings and 14 total runs. He said, "long and boring"

I agree.

this roughspell right now is good..its keeping the Brewers honest. They are not a great team...the reason they have gotten this far is by fighting hard for 9 INNINGS. I dont know the attitude in the dugout after 7 innings, but the attitude of many fans is that this game is over, 6 run lead...cap it off, we got a sweep. Not so fast...

If Milwaukee want's to do anything this year they need to play hard the WHOLE GAME. I know Yost won't let this little hicup go unnoticed and neither will they let the last place Pirates go unnoticed when a lot of people would want to check out the Cubbies coming up.

This game needs to be closed out and Pittsburg needs to be delt with...you play them one game at a time and this one isn't over

What are you talking about? Most baseball games have 27 hits between the two clubs in the 8th inning. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif

The defense hasn't been good in this inning for sure, but you don't bring in a guy who has pitched one inning in two weeks into a game in Coors Field. You just don't do it. This inning all got started with a walk.

This is the detriment to having 13 pitchers. No way everybody gets enough work.

Wow! Talk about emotion ups and downs. This one is painful. Coors field rears its ugly head again. I guess considering how good its been. Bullpen was due for a major hiccup like this soon enough. Anyway. I can't watch anymore. I'll check the score later

Couldn't agree more and I was going to bring that up as well.

Why in the freakin world was Brooks K in this game??

Moves like that make me skeptical that this team wants to truly win.

Ned, you suck just because of that move...man I'm pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif

That's just a stupid statement.

Ned just has to get Brooks more work. You don't let rusty pitchers come into games at Coors Field. But to say that making this move means the Brewers aren't trying to win is foolish.

With the starting pitching as strong as it is for the Brewers, there is really no need for 8 relievers on this club right now. You can make a case that you don't even need 7.

when would you suggest getting Brooks back into the fold...the team hasn't been up 6 like this in a while...this was the best opportunity to stretch out his arm in a game situation and it backfired a little.

I mean come on, 6 runs surely looked safe...woops, it happens. If this was a 2 run game in the 9th and Brooks was entered into the game, I'd be questioning the call. This was the biggest lead Milwakee has had to get their relievers some work. It's not that bad of a situation

I don't care what the score is in this game. I don't care what kind of lead the Brewers had. I just want this game over, with the Brewers getting a W.

Coors Field sucks. Why any decent pitcher would want to throw in that place is beyond me.

look at the campaign Milwaukee put together for Jenkins last year to make the All Star game...they are starting early this season by getting Kolb some more save opportunities in TIGHT situations...give him this new "clutch" persona...just doing some stat padding thats all...no biggie

The bottom line is that a game like this really makes you question why the Brewers are currently carrying 13 pitchers, especially with the starting staff throwing as well as it has of late.

There just isn't enough innings for everyone to get work.

I personally don't want to see Brooks K in....at anytime....in ANY game.

The only time I like to see him is when he pinch hits and swings for the himalayas on three straight pitches.

I mean where was Mike Adams in that situation.

Guys I don't care if it was 6 runs. Every game is important now. We have to go out there and try to win not just "get guys some work."

You play to win the game, and I don't care if it means Brooks doesn't get a precious inning. We don't need him in the bullpen anyway.

At first I couldn't believe you wrote that, but then my humor kicked in and I found it tongue in cheek. I hope that's what you meant it to behttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
