I wonder how hot Moeller would have to get to actually snag a whole FOUR out of 5 starts.

The answer of course, is it doesn't matter how hot he is, he only catches certain pitchers, like it or not.

That's bull, Yost only says that to justify his obsession with "I was a backup catcher and they win championships" mentaility. We wanted Perez to catch more often, early in the year. When one of Osik's pitchers were removed, Yost just switched a Perez pitcher to Osik. That's right, Yost was willing to ruin the All important "chemestry" between catcher and pitcher just to get back to a 3/5 split.

It's just SO stupid.

It works well in Boston, 'cause Varitek catches four of the five starters and Mirabelli only catches Wakefield. The fact that he is a knuckleballer is important, obviously, but I think that type of setup still works nicely (the Braves used it for years with Maddux' personal catcher, Eddie Perez). If Bennett *only* caught Santos, for example, then this two-catchers-system would be much more palatable. It ensures regular playing time for the backup and it gives the better/younger/better/not terrible/younger/better catcher the bulk of the playing time.

Where do find posted starting lineups anyway?

I find them on Yahoo, where they are generally listed about 30 minutes before first pitch.

EDIT: SWEEP TIME.

Great picture, homer... it's on Linux, too http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif .

And USA Today is the lineup source of choice, 'cause they do the nicely formatted deals with avg/hr/rbi stats. They usually are up about an hour before gametime, sometimes earlier, sometimes later.

Plus it kept Bennett out of a DP

When you blow as bad as Bennett does,a groundout that actually produces something productive has to be considered a major victory.Maybe he can catch some Coors field magic and get his OPS over .560.

Both Sheets and Santos have some solid breaking stuff but neither seemed to work in Coors, however Capuano's slider looked to be on there on Tuesday.

That's such a weird place. Flyball outs seem dangerous and Victor is getting some deep flyball outs today.

Why do I get the feeling the Crew will need at least 10 runs today?

A sacrifice at Coors field in the 2nd inning is silly any way you slice it.

3rd inning. 1st and third, with no out.... why didn't jenk sacrifice there! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
