Man, you know our offense sucks when Brady Clark is the only guy getting on base!

Brady is now hitting .275 with nearly a .380 OBP... not sure what more you guys think he should be doing, because he's having a pretty decent season right now.

Never said he was having a bad season, but he's not the guy on the Brewers you would normally think would be the one getting on base (usually Overbay, Podsednik, etc.) Let's get some runs, nice inning for Davis.

Doug Davis has been getting rocked pretty well today, but he gets to stay in the game indefinitely. Ben Hendrickson wasn't getting rocked yesterday, but he got removed at the first sign of trouble. And it wasn't even really a sign of trouble.

That's the inconsistency I pointed out yesterday.

I'm very glad Podsednik didn't just blow out a knee running up that hill right there. Nice play... I bet Eric Milton would have loved a play like that, huh? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Um, Batman, is BHs ERA under 4 likes DDs? Nope, its over 9. Thats why BH gets the early hook.

So X, should Rocket have gotten to pitch longer, just cuz he happens to have a lower season ERA? That's ridiculous.

If you're getting ripped, you're getting ripped. If you're not, you're not. Yesterday's performance has zero significance.

And that's stupid, because Hendrickson had two starts before yesterday. Doug has been getting hammered in July, too. How is Hendrickson supposed to develop as an MLB pitcher if he is yanked at the first sign of danger?

Wes Obermueller had a longer leash than Hendrickson, and that doesn't make any sense to me.

If you don't allow Hendrickson to work later into games, he never will. It's self-fulfilling... "he can't work late into ballgames, so you have to take him out early" and therefore "he hasn't worked late into ballgames, so you have to take him out early". Unless you give him a chance to prove whether he can or can't go deeper into games, he never will.

I remember a few weeks ago seeing that we had a 7 1/2 game cushion on the Pirates, and thinking that was fairly secure. A loss today by us will bring the Pirates within ONE game of the Crew. A game out of last place, and talking about the playoffs?

Like Doug said EARLY in the season. There's a big difference between being 5 games out of the wildcard with 2-3 teams ahead of you, and being 5 games out of the wildcared with 6-7-8 teams ahead of you.
