7/27/2004: Brewers (Sheets) v. Cubs (Maddux)

brettac1

"I can't see getting so mad about Daron/Bill,it's not a new thing that they blow and are about as bad as it gets."

The usual Daron/Bill is one thing. Daron/Bill staging a lovefest for the opposing team's pitcher is another. It's like they were trying to be the anti-homers, and the Brewers get enough of that with the Cubs fans.

Let's hope Greg gets his 300th before August 16.

I'll be on vacation starting Wednesday morning; maybe the Brewers will wake up in my absence. I'll think of bf.net every time I see a box score with "Helms" or "GIDP Jenkins" in it.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

too bad Sutton wasn't saying 299 in reference to someones potential batting average (aside from Lyle Overbay)

it's been a tough month for Milwaukee.....August is just around the corner though

You guys gotta give Russell a break. He's going to strike out half of the time, but he's also going to hit a lot of home runs. We've seen enough groundball outs from Helms and Jenkins to last about 200 years, so at this point who cares if the Muscle strikes out a lot? Just expect him to strikeout, and you won't be disappointed.

I'm a sucker for Three True Outcomes players. If you accept the strikeouts, they are a lot of fun to watch.

Nothing is more frustrating than guys who have no clue how to shorten their swing when they have two strikes on them in a clutch situation.

With two out and nobody in scoring position, I could give a crap if someone swings for ******on and strikes out. But Branyan doesn't do that.

We already have enough wind turbines on this team. We didn't need another one.

If the Brewers don't want legions of potential ticket-buyers to head to St. Norbert College starting this weekend, they might want to figure this out. Soon.

Wearing my heart on my sleeve since birth. Hopefully, it's my only crime.

Well we could always call up Erickson to have a short and pathetic swing with 2 strikes to play third. Sorry Bruce but the player you want just ain't available to Milwaukee. Just like the part time supermodel with seven figure salary, but really likes to be a homemaker most of the time just wasn't available when I went looking for a wife http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
