Speaking of team leaders, has anyone else noticed how Russell Branyan has gotten everyone wearing those red/yellow glasses? I hadn't seen anyone wear those all year until Branyan sported them in his debut, and now Jenkins and Hall (and maybe others) are wearing them.

Cool. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Nice hit by Jenks, and Helms got a seeing eye groundball single through the hole. How clutch!

Telemundo has a nice shot of Jenkins' back up there now. Nice that they didn't show the game winning hit.

At least they showed the game, unlike a certain network I know.

Good job Billy. Brewers win. Have a good Sunday night folks.

Wow, I just woke up to see we have saved at least a million. With Sheets getting roughed up and Kolb blowing a save and we still win. I am sure Wendy is happy about this turn of events.

Yeah, but I'm not sure she's happy about the win. If we win games fans might continue to show up at the gates. And if attendance doensn't drop low enough, Wendy won't be able to move the team without first needing approval from the stadium board. Whereas if she can put a team out there crappy enough to keep the fans away, it will trigger an obscure clause allowing her to break the lease and move the team without needing anyone's consent. Oh wait...

Nice job by Durrington with his inspirational grittiness. His call-up will be the turning point of the season.

You know, I don't really believe in stuff like that. Isn't it kind of odd though that the Brewers began their slump when Durrington went down June 10th and come back for a big win the day he is brought back up?

Now that we have taken a series from the Pirates, I believe we are now invincible. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif

FWIW, I've got to give credit to Yost for going to Vizcaino. It didn't quite work out, but Yost saw that his pitcher was ineffective, took him out when the game was still in control, brought in the right pitcher for the circumstances (one who gets Ks), and at least limited the damage to a tie game.

At that point, McClendon did what most managers do, brought in less than his best available pitcher, because the save was more important than the win.
