While I suppose it's "technically" possible for a team in our position to win 15 of 20, and get in the race, I don't see that happening with a team that can't string 3 games in a row together where they score more than one run. Offense is just too pedestrian, and too inconsistent to sustain a solid attack for 3 or 4 weeks.

Well I had a good feeling about tonight?s game, and then I saw the lineup on TV while shopping?

Can we just say that we have 3 true starters and 4 half starters? Just tell Cappy, Kinney, obermueller, and Hendrickson that they only get to pitch for 4 innings every 5 days? Why do we need to have guys that are expected to go for 7-9 innings?

Yes, I am joking? but am I?

I am heading to the ball park for tomorrow nights game. I live near Wausau. It will take me alomst 4 hours by the time we park, longer to get home. I have to work Thursday morning. With this said; IF FRIGGEN GARY BENNENT AND TRENT DURRINGING START, THERE WILL BE TROUBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks, see you @ the game.

did anyone else realize how dumb it was for yost to double switch capuano/moeller with wise/bennett?

by doing so, gary bennett lead off the next inning and also came up again at the end of the game for a second at bat. the only reason i can think of for doing this is to give wise 2 innings of work, which was clearly the plan as he was left in for most of what would have been his 2nd inning of work despite getting healthily ripped. so weird that yost would leave him in so long.

anyway, if they had just switched wise and cappy straight up they could have pinch hit for wise to lead off the next inning and brought a new pitcher in for the 9th. that way when moeller came up again he could be pinch hit for as could the pitcher's spot. this way grieve, kiesch and branyan all could have gotten an ab and gary bennet would have gotten none.

granted, it's really a moot point in a 12-3 game, but at the time i belive it was 6-1. not out of reach by any means. and you'd think yost would give more consideration to get his best hitters out there when the team is behind, especially given the recent offensive struggles. getting wise 2 innings seemed to be priority one in that move, when it should have been the least of our concerns how much work wise got at that point.

i don't know. i really like ned in a lot of ways. motivation, attitude, charisma, things like that. but sometimes i find myself seriously questioning his ability as an actual manager. he seems like he'd be more suited to be an nfl coach who lets his coordinators do all the work.

Not sure if anyone saw this last night while watching the game, but I went to it, and we got rained out. It was pouring inside the stadium and I just now got home. Of course it was right at my seats. Just thought I would tell everyone, even the FOX cameraguys had to put on their raincoats because it was right over them.

I'll bet if you tried to move from your rain soaked area to a dry one, some gestapo-esque usher would have tried to stop you.

It doesn't get any better than watching the Brewers get stomped, while being drenched inside an enclosed stadium.

Betcha want that night back, dontcha?
