Did anyone see Branyan talking to Yost after he hit the home run last night in the 9th? It almost looked like Russell said something to Yost that he didn't appreciate....

"What do you mean I'm not battling? I've got 8 total bases and 3 RBIs tonight!"

6-0 already. At noon I decided to request two hours of vacation time because I felt like going to the game, my 2nd of the year. It must be some sign from God that my request was denied because somebody already took the only two hours available.

The more I think about this the madder I am getting. Yost has a lot of nerve playing clearly inferior players at 3b and rf. He plays Helms and Clark over Branyon and Grieve?? The talent level of these players is beyond obvious. This could have ramifications in the coming years in regards to players wanting to play for Ned. Who would want to come to Milw knowing they are a better player than the competition at your position but sitting routinely on the bench because you arent one of Ned's pets? It sucks.

Neds reputation is going to be that of a den mother who plays his favorites over better players at the expense of the rest of the team, the fans, and the standings.

I am getting really annoyed with this.

Helms walked and Bennett drives in 2 runs in the same inning. That my friends is like a blizzard happening in Miami.

Helms walking and Bennet driving in two runs in the same game would be like a blizzard in Miami. This is like a typhoon in North Dakota. We've all just witnessed history.

people seriously need to get off the clark vs grieve debate. i know, i know. grieve's got a slightly higher ops. but here's the thing. he sucks in the field, which in my opinion cancels out the small offensive advantage he has.

also, since the break...

avg | obp | slg

353 | 441 | 451

188 | 257 | 469

guess which is clark and which is grieve.

Well yes. And so is Roy Oswalt. But see they are short right handed pitchers. Kazmir is left handed.

Yeah, short lefties suck...

I like that 11 starts for Penny vs. 45 games for Mota comparison. Sure, Mota will be "available" for all of the rest of the games, but he'll really only be able to pitch in about 20. I'm certainly not expecting Mota to appear in more than 75 games for the season. Just a silly comparison.

BTW, now that the Dodgers are 4-1 since the trade and the Marlins 0-4, how long before columnists start backing away from their "Marlins are big winners/Dodgers big losers" stories.
