Ok, this definitely qualifies for "weirdest lineup of 2004".

 MILWAUKEE FLORIDA AVG HR RBI AVG HR RBI Craig Counsell SS .265 2 19 Juan Pierre CF .313 2 31 Trent Durrington 3B .211 2 2 Luis Castillo 2B .298 2 36 Geoff Jenkins LF .251 17 61 Damion Easley 3B .239 5 21 Ben Grieve RF .267 7 27 Miguel Cabrera LF .317 23 77 Lyle Overbay 1B .324 11 69 Jeff Conine 1B .272 8 49 Bill Hall 2B .263 7 38 Juan Encarnacion RF .233 13 44 Brady Clark CF .271 5 26 Alex Gonzalez SS .233 16 58 Gary Bennett C .190 1 13 Mike Redmond C .245 2 24 Wes Obermueller RHP .381 0 4 Ismael Valdez RHP .171 0 5 (3-5, 6.69) (9-6, 5.53)

I thought Brady Clark was the perfect #2 hitter. Why is he batting seventh?

I hope that Obermueller gets converted to an OF or 3B. He has the potential to be another toolshed.

Anyway, I look forward to the 'Duel of the Century'

Is this the start of an "extended rest" aka benching of Podsednik?

I doubt it but it's nice to see him grab some pine. Maybe it'll help get his head on straight.

4-0 already with a Grand Slam by Florida-- that shake up has really helped. Get used to the pounding. This is what happens when you have boys against men. And for people wating for prospects to be the save all-is going to be more of the same. This organization just doesn't have the horses to compete on the major league level-- don't be fooled with all the prospect talk.

Shampoo... "And for people wating for prospects to be the save all-is going to be more of the same. This organization just doesn't have the horses to compete on the major league level-- don't be fooled with all the prospect talk."

What I dont understand is that the correct move financially, futurewise, TODAYwise, is to start bringing up the prospects. Hart and Krynzel and Hendrickson should be up tomorrow.

Why does management bring up Obey, Durrington, Magruder, Leifer... It seems they want to bring up any old guy with no future with no stats OVER young guys with a future and good stats.

Someone explain to me how OLD, no future, no stats is a preferrable to YOUNG, future and good stats.
