Basically that he's been a force on offense and he was really happy with how he'd added some much needed power to the lineup.

Capuano is useless today. Maybe Branyan will hit a grand slam.

O look, Yost kept him in untill he completely fell apart. I NEVER would have gussed that! I know, I know, you really taught him something Yost. You are a master teacher!

NOW YOU PULL HIM! So 5 runs in 4 innings, with runners at first and second and no out...... he's fine. 8 runs in 4.1 innings and noone on, time to pull him.

Yost is an idiot.

In all fairness to Nedly, Capuano did pitch a 1-2-3 fourth. I see no reason not to bring him back in. If he was going to pull him it should have been after the 5th inning walk.

I appreciate why Yost didn't pull Cap after 4. It just always seems to work that Yost doesn't pull his starter, let's him bat, and the starter doesn't even pitcha full inning after.

I really was hoping Yost would pull Cap after two were on with no out in the fifth. Just didn't happen.

Hey, a Grieve sighting.

I was there, and it sure was a weird one. The conditions had my buddy and I scratching our heads. Sosa's shot was legit. But two early game homers--ones by Jenkins and Lee--were not hit all that hard. Late in the game both Branyan (on his sac fly) and I think Jenkins or Grieve absolutely crushed balls that managed to get held up and come down harmlessly. Both were hit far harder than the aforementioned 2 homers.

In the 9th, Counsell and Clark hit very solid lined shots to right, unfortunately right at Sosa.

Cappy couldn't find the zone. He got squeezed on some pitches, but all in all, he went up against a solid lineup and tried to nibble.

Bennett came in and threw strikes, and the Cubs didn't do much off him. I hope Cappy was watching. The walks killed us. We get one walk and one HBP, they get 6 walks. That's the difference in the game. By the way, I didn't think it was possible to walk Tom Goodwin twice in a game.

2 phenomenal double plays turned to end I think the 7th and 8th innings by the Brewers middle infield.

Hall almost cost us a run with some terrible baserunning. He stopped just past second on Overbay's double (just inside the 1st base line), turned back, took two steps back towards first, then started running to 3rd. As he neared third, he slowed down expecting to be held up, however, he was being waved. Even after stopping at second, he still had plenty of time to score until he slowed down entering third. Hall should have scored from first on the play, and luckily Branyan hit the sac fly, although Russell's sac fly was absolutely crushed, as I think everyone in the park thought it was long gone. Like I said, early in the game balls just jumped, and later in the game they just died.
