08/21/2004 - Brewers (Obermueller) vs. Phillies (Padilla)

I like that Branyan seems to be able to recognise strikes and balls (unlike Jenkins). Russ Ks swinging at strikes and he walks NOT swinging at balls... and every once in a while, when he connects... wow. He is a good ball player.

That's the same observation I've made watching Branyan, and it makes the strikeout totals a lot more bearable. Of course, the high HR totals help a lot, but you can't get too down on a guy who swings and misses at pitches that were actually strikes like you do with guys who strikeout hacking away at a ball in the dirt.

i was at the game on saturday, a friend's family was gracious enough to invite me to a suite.

 

it appears the wheels have fallen off our bullpen? bad choices by nost didn't help either.

 

during the game, it appeared that over half the suite tv's had tuned in to the packer game.
